Bonnie & Gav

A pre wedding day in the park

It was very apparent from day one of talking to Bonnie that her family was everything to her, so when planning hers and Gavs pre wedding shoot I knew that something simple with just her fella and her kids would be perfect.

We decided to just go to the local park as any family would on a nice day, the twins were happy to run around like mad chasing a football while Gav trotted around not doing to much following surgery on his knees.

It was an amazingly happy day and the strong between all 4 of them was so apparent that it yet again made me realise why I do the job I do, capturing happy people in love is the best thing ever.

The wedding will take place in Cyprus next month, it will be my first wedding outside of the UK and to say I'm excited is an understatement.

Alesi & Lucy

A mother & daughter make over/bump shoot

When Alesi contacted me asking about a make over style shoot for her mum I was more than happy to help out. I have known Alesi a while as I'm friends with her boyfriend Ricky.

I knew her mum and suffered with ill health for a while so totally understood how important it was to help Lucy feel better and regain the confidence she'd lost.

What I didnt know at the time of the booking was Alesi was pregnant, when this was announced it immediately became a focus point of the shoot, not only celebrating Lucys battle but also celebrating the new life that was soon to grace the family.

On the day of the shoot I dont think I have ever seen a woman so nervous in my life, Lucy was literally terrified but as the shoot progressed it was great to see her come out of her shell and have fun. I think the added company of Alesis boyfriend Ricky helped, such a funny guy and so positive about everything in life its hard for it not to rub off on you.

I couldn't be happier with the results from the shoot, thank you to my wonderful make up artist for the day Georgia, your work was as always top notch.

Mark & Becky

A pre wedding shoot

I have known Mark for the best part of 8 years now so to get the call about photographing his wedding couldnt have made me happier for him.

As soon as i met Becky I could tell she was perfect for him, as was he for her. They have a connection that can be seen by anyone, whether you know them or not.

The pre wedding shoot was a casual stroll in Hartholme Park in Lincoln, so casual in fact that we bumped into 2 of the bridesmaids.

When I found out that Mark & Becky met on the social media site Facebook, this instantly gave me an idea for the shoot, the new Facebook reactions had just been released and gave me a great opportunity to have some fun whilst telling their story.

Stacey, Stephen, Liberty & Bump

A family shoot

Over the years I have had the pleasure of capturing some amazing moments for numerous people and families. The Piper family features very strongly in this list.. I have photographed their wedding, their daughter Liberty both before and after birth as a bump and baby.

And last week another bump shoot to celebrate baby number 2's very soon arrival.

Liberty is now a very energetic, funny and charismatic 2 yr old, one i had great pleasure in photographing. I'm sure there's never a dull moment with this little girl around. She is the perfect blend of Stephen and Stacey and one they should be very proud of.

I look forward to capturing another little Piper very soon when baby number 2 arrives.

Oscar

The coolest kid in Lincoln??

On Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing a very cool one yr old.

Oscar is the nephew of my good friend Chloe who kindly recommended me to her sister Kally and her partner Brendan.

It was a lovely afternoon spent with a great family watching young Oscar explore. He wasn't at all shy in front of the camera, although some 'wotsits' were needed to persuade him to face the right direction.

Days and shoots like this remind me why I do what I do, capturing these moments for a young family are so important, the connection these 3 have was magical to watch.

Samantha & James

A bouncing baby boy

After photographing Samanthas portfolio last year and her 'bump' recently, it was now the turn of James, the result of the bump.

At just 4 weeks old he was the best behaved baby I think I have ever worked with, posing as needed and keeping still for most of the shoot.

I think you will agree hes as beautiful as his model mother and has some of the most amazing blue eyes I have ever seen.

Will & Sophie

Sandhurst Military Academy

March 10th 2016

A wedding I have been looking forward to photographing for a very long time, and it didn't disappoint.

Will & Sophie are one of those couples you look at and just know they are perfectly matched, Sophie being an ex beauty queen and Will being a officer in the Army is just an old fashioned match of the 'squaddie' and the stunning looking girl.

The day ran without a glitch, the weather was perfect, the venue was amazing, the food was delicious and the speeches were hilarious.. (some of the best I have heard in my 200+ weddings)

Will looked amazing in his dress uniform, almost outshining Sophie in her beautiful dress, the guard of honour was a first for me to witness and photograph and I loved it, adding something truly special to their day.

Smiles were present all day and the odd tear was shed, some during speeches and some during the first dance, to be honest I'm surprised Sophie managed to hold on to her emotions as long as she did.

This is definitely one to remember, a great friend marrying a great guy, congratulations to you both..

Mr & Mrs Hodgson

Thank you to Jack for his assistance in shooting this wedding.
