Matt & Nicola

A day at the beach - Pre wedding shoot

I have known Nicola for as long as I can remember, I have worked with her when she used to model and I also photographed her sisters wedding 5 yrs ago. So when I got the call asking to photograph her wedding to Matt I couldn't have been happier to say yes.

They are one of those couples that just ooze affection towards each other, whether it be in an obvious way or just the way they look at each other. The feelings they have for each other are blatantly obvious which makes my job all the easier on days like this and on their wedding day.

They requested a quiet walk on the beach with their son Albie and their dog 'Charlie Crumpet'. The weather wasn't as good as it could have been but it just didn't matter. The photos are some of my favourite yet from pre wedding shoots I have done.

The wedding will take place next month in the ruins of Langley Abbey in Norfolk, another venue I can't wait to shoot at this year.

Bonnie & Gav

A pre wedding day in the park

It was very apparent from day one of talking to Bonnie that her family was everything to her, so when planning hers and Gavs pre wedding shoot I knew that something simple with just her fella and her kids would be perfect.

We decided to just go to the local park as any family would on a nice day, the twins were happy to run around like mad chasing a football while Gav trotted around not doing to much following surgery on his knees.

It was an amazingly happy day and the strong between all 4 of them was so apparent that it yet again made me realise why I do the job I do, capturing happy people in love is the best thing ever.

The wedding will take place in Cyprus next month, it will be my first wedding outside of the UK and to say I'm excited is an understatement.

Alesi & Lucy

A mother & daughter make over/bump shoot

When Alesi contacted me asking about a make over style shoot for her mum I was more than happy to help out. I have known Alesi a while as I'm friends with her boyfriend Ricky.

I knew her mum and suffered with ill health for a while so totally understood how important it was to help Lucy feel better and regain the confidence she'd lost.

What I didnt know at the time of the booking was Alesi was pregnant, when this was announced it immediately became a focus point of the shoot, not only celebrating Lucys battle but also celebrating the new life that was soon to grace the family.

On the day of the shoot I dont think I have ever seen a woman so nervous in my life, Lucy was literally terrified but as the shoot progressed it was great to see her come out of her shell and have fun. I think the added company of Alesis boyfriend Ricky helped, such a funny guy and so positive about everything in life its hard for it not to rub off on you.

I couldn't be happier with the results from the shoot, thank you to my wonderful make up artist for the day Georgia, your work was as always top notch.

Mark & Becky

A pre wedding shoot

I have known Mark for the best part of 8 years now so to get the call about photographing his wedding couldnt have made me happier for him.

As soon as i met Becky I could tell she was perfect for him, as was he for her. They have a connection that can be seen by anyone, whether you know them or not.

The pre wedding shoot was a casual stroll in Hartholme Park in Lincoln, so casual in fact that we bumped into 2 of the bridesmaids.

When I found out that Mark & Becky met on the social media site Facebook, this instantly gave me an idea for the shoot, the new Facebook reactions had just been released and gave me a great opportunity to have some fun whilst telling their story.
