Daniel & Chelsea

A Royal visit - Pre Wedding shoot

On Sunday I had the pleasure of photographing Dan & Chelsea for their pre wedding shoot. They had chosen the lovely setting of the Queens Norfolk home, Sandringham.

Also joining us was their wonderfully cute son, Jude. Not a natural infront of the camera to start with but loving being the spotlight by the end of our time together, rather like his dad actually.

It was a lovely relaxed stroll through the grounds and woods surrounding the majestic house, the colours in the tress still reminiscent of autumn, bathing them in dappled golden glimpses of warmth.

After such a lovely day with them I am now counting down the days until I photograph their wedding on May bank holiday weekend.

Phil & Lisa

Hoath House Feb 10th 2016

A very private affair was the order of the day for Phil & Lisa, just 25 guests at what was the most intimate wedding I have ever had the pleasure of photographing.

Hoath House was the perfect location for such a private day, a very pretty venue set in the rolling hills of Kent in Southern England.

On arriving it was easy to see the mood for the day, the groomsmen all wearing pink converse, the dogs Alfie and Arthur wearing bow ties made from the same material as the bridesmaids dresses.

There was a beautiful service with singing from 'The Papercuts', an act you often see in Lisas pub, The Prettygate in Colchester.

After the wedding service the sun shone for photos in the beautiful grounds and then everyone just sat and chilled out, chatting and drinking tea, a very English afternoon.

Dinner was then served in stunningly decorated dining room which was lit only by candle light and the evening progressed at the same relaxed pace, including speeches and even a pub quiz.

A perfect way to start my weddings for 2016 and a perfect way to for Phil & Lisa to begin their married life together.

Congratulations!!

Thank you to Hannah for assistance with shooting this wedding.

Will & Sophie

A Day at the Races - Pre Wedding shoot

I have had the pleasure of knowing Sophie for around 7 years and over that time we have become great friends so when I received the call asking me to photograph her wedding I couldn't have been happier to say yes.

Knowing Sophie as I do, I went straight to Will to plan the pre wedding shoot. We both agreed that it would be a great surprise for her as she thought work commitments would make it pretty much impossible to fit it in in the time scale we had.

Will decided that the location of their first house together (Newbury Racecourse) would be great for the shoot. Anyones first house will always be special so why not have that permanent memory with the photos taken there.

The shoot itself was great fun, Sophie being the beauty queen and model loving the camera as much as ever, Will however being a captain in the army was not so used to having the camera pointing at him.

By the end of the shoot he had warmed to the lens and no longer needed any direction, using Sophie as his 'security blanket'  he became as good a model as his lovely wife to be.

A full military wedding at Sandhurst next month has me very excited for their big day.

Samantha - A bump Shoot

Last year I had the pleasure of shooting Samanthas portfolio. She is an established model and promo girl working on the BTCC & BSB grids.

This year she revisited me in the studio for a more personal shoot.

Looking as well as ever and sporting the most perfectly round bump.

Lisa & Phil

Pre wedding shoot

Last week I made the trip to Colchester to photograph Lisa & Phil for their pre wedding shoot, neither of them are very comfortable in front of the camera so this was the perfect opportunity to help them relax with a camera around before their big day on Feb 10th.

As I'm not local to the area I left the location down to Lisa to choose, and boy did she deliver!!!

An amazing viaduct with hollowed out legs along side some farmers fields and a small walk through some woods.

I'm over the moon with the results and I'm more than happy with how relaxed they both were during the shoot. Hopefully this will remain the same during their wedding day photography.
